APEGA environment committee


Objectives and History

TThe Environment Committee's role (Terms of Reference) is to enhance APEGA's awareness of environmental issues that impact the practice of the professions and to provide input on related matters. The Committee’s Guideline for Environmental Practice outlines APEGA’s expectations of its members regarding their being proactive in protecting the environment.

The Committee coordinates a series of articles on environmental issues that affect the professions. These appear in The PEG and on APEGA’s website. It is also carrying out a Climate Change Adaptation Program to increase APEGA members’ understanding of the importance of considering the impacts of climate change on the design of infrastructure projects and other relevant aspects of their professional practice.
