PARTNERS IN PROFESSIONALISM

This year’s Annual Conference theme, Partners in Professionalism, underlines the importance of engineering and geoscience teams in the development and well-being of Alberta and the world. You – our members – partner in a myriad of ways to protect the public, build communities, manage and operate companies and other organizations, and put technology to work for everyone’s benefit.

Do you want to celebrate this role by taking part in self-government, attending top-notch professional development sessions and mingling with your peers throughout the spectrum of the APEGGA professions? Then watch the e-PEGG, The PEGG and the APEGGA website for more information on the conference and Annual General Meeting, April 25 to 28 in Calgary, as it becomes available. We’ll provide full registration information soon.

MEET THE MINISTER

Premier Ed Stelmach’s first Cabinet has resulted in a change of the minister responsible for APEGGA. Veteran politician the Hon. Iris Evans is the new Minister of Employment, Immigration and Industry. A full story on Ms. Evans will appear in the February PEGG. In the meantime, click here for her online biography .

WEBSITE VIEWING PROBLEMS

Have you upgraded your computer to Internet Explorer 7? If so, you may be having trouble viewing some pages of the APEGGA website properly. We are on the case, however, and making our pages compatible as quickly as we can. In the meantime, please click here to alert our web developer Barbara Jensen of specific problem pages (email: bjensen@apegga.org). If you haven’t upgraded yet and you use the APEGGA site regularly, you may want to hold off your upgrade to IE 7 until the site is fully compatible. Or you may want to return to an older version of Internet Explorer for now.
