APEGGA President John McLeod, P.Eng. will be providing an update on issues of interest specifically to Members as well as some broader issues related to public safety and well-being. Topics will include voting rights and privileges for M.I.T.s, the move to a new P.Geo. designation, Provisional Licensees, our new partners in professionalism - ASET, TILMA and QBS, the skilled labour shortage, infrastructure inspection and maintenance, water resource management and environmental reclamation and remediation. Please join your President and fellow Members for an exchange of ideas and information.

The Branch AGM will follow the President’s address with the election of the Edmonton Branch Executive Committee.

Women Members Needed

APEGGA supports the WISEST (Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science and Technology) Choices program and needs women members to assist with hands-on classroom presentations for Grade 6 girls and their teachers. Engineering and Geoscience women members are needed. Presentation and hands-on materials are provided by APEGGA. One hour presentations will be made on February 19 and February 20 at these times: 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
