Science Olympics is a half day interactive, FUN, hands-on science competition for students in Grades 7-12. The event is sponsored by APEGGA. Students see first-hand how science affects our everyday lives. They are given a series of applications or problem-solving challenges to demonstrate the fun side of exploring science concepts. Events are team focused and follow the Alberta school curriculum. Students cover content areas of scientific studies, while learning to work and interact as a team. They use their science skills and ideas to develop create solutions to problems.
More volunteers are now being recruited for the March 5 Science Olympics. Junior and senior high teams of students have signed up for the fun and challenging mystery events that will test their skills in science, problem-solving and teamwork. You will be amazed at the talent you will see at this event. We are certain there will be future engineers and geoscientists among them.
