ConocoPhillips has agreed to provide a tour of the Elmworth Gas Plant and we are excited to inform you the date has been set for April 4, 2011. Mr. Shawn Seita, the Lead for the Elmworth Gas plant, has been kind enough to agree to take us on the tour.
We will be leaving the ConocoPhillips Parking Lot, just south of the Costco at 5:30 for those who would like to take a bus ride to the actual Elmworth Gas Plant. If you would prefer to take your own vehicle the tour will be beginning at 6:30 at the plant itself.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Please note that since this is a gas plant, it is recommended you wear steel toed footwear, but it is not mandatory. We also ask that you refrain from wearing a hoodie type jacket, but instead choose a cotton sweater, or clothing along those lines. If you have your own Fire Resistant Clothing, please remember to wear them. A hard hat, ear plugs, ear muffs, and eye protection are also required. Please show on your registration how many of these items you can provide for yourself – every effort will be made to provide you with items you lack.
Please register early so transportation and PPE for those who need them can be prearranged.
