Fort McMurray has been expanding very rapidly. The growing pains felt by this city as a result of the booming oilsands industry has necessitated that all modes of its transportation infrastructure be upgraded, to accommodate this growth.
“Our growth rate has crystallized Fort McMurray’s top three issues as infrastructure improvements; available land for housing; and accelerating housing construction to meet current shortfalls,” says Fort McMurray’s Mayor Melissa Blake. “Quality-of-life amenities need to stay at par with other Albertans.”
The Fort McMurray Branch has arranged for you to have an overview of the Provincial Government and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo services for the region's booming population.
