Climate Change – UNFCCC – Copenhagen and Beyond

At Rio, the world embarked on a mission to address concerns that the Climate was changing and that human activity was the main culprit. In Copenhagen in December 2009 the clash between the developing countries and the developed countries, the passion and the reality became a hotbed of attention for the media, and attracted thousands of participants. This presentation presents an engineering view from the periphery of the debate and outlines the role engineering could or should be playing. It is based upon 3 years of observation at the meetings and active participation in the Nairobi Work Program.
