Emerald Nominations Needed
Do you set a positive environmental example? Do you know of an organization or
individual who does? Share these success stories with others — submit a
nomination for an Emerald Award today.
The Alberta Emerald Foundation seeks nominations for the 2008 Emerald Awards,
which will be presented June 3 on the Shoctor Stage at the Citadel
Theatre in Edmonton. In 12 categories, the awards recognize excellence in preserving, protecting, enhancing and sustaining the environment.
Judges look at the positive, tangible and long-term impact of projects, as well as, when appropriate, efforts that reflect collaborative approaches.
Deadline for nominations is Feb. 29. Organizations and individuals can nominate themselves or someone they know. All nominations are posted on the Emerald Foundation website, complete with contact information, in an effort to increase recognition and the sharing of great environmental stories to a broader audience.
