Another Permit Holder
On List Of Top Workplaces
For the second year in a row Hood Group of Sherwood Park is among the 50 best small and medium-sized employers in Canada. The company placed fifth in the 2009 listing published recently in The Globe and Mail.
The PEGG left out mention of Hood in a story last month on the list.
The rating means Hood Group is a great place to work, as the results are generated through surveys of employee engagement and human resources practices. This listing recognizes employers with between 50 and 400 employees.
This Canadian-owned, Alberta business, with offices in Calgary and Sherwood Park, has been operating since 1992. The company has improved its standing from 2008, when it placed 22nd in the nationwide competition.
The survey is undertaken by the Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing at the Queen’s School of Business, along with Hewitt Associates and in partnership with the newspaper.
