ESSENTIALS IN ADVERTISING - This APEGGA message reaches westbound traffic on Glenmore Trail in Calgary, east of Shepard Road. APEGGA’s advertising campaign focuses on the essential work of professional engineers, geologists and geophysicists. |
APEGGA’s new advertising campaign has generated positive responses and enquiries from members and external stakeholders alike.
Launched in mid-April to coincide with the Annual Conference and AGM, the campaign has been running on billboards and radio across the province, with media concentrations in Calgary and Edmonton. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance and value of the contributions members make to the community.
“The strength of the campaign is in the simplicity and clarity of its message,” says Neil Windsor, P.Eng., APEGGA Executive Director & Registrar.
The campaign delivers a crystallized idea of the value and relevance of members to society. The creative process focused on stripping away extraneous and complex ideas about what it means to be an engineer or geoscientist, to reveal he nub of the matter.
The result is powerful. Engineers and geoscientists create, design and build the things that deliver the essentials of living to society — things such as light, energy and water. Without APEGGA members, the greater community would not have these essentials.
“Proudly brought to you by” speaks to the pride members
have in who they are and what they do.
This campaign implements priorities in APEGGA’s 2005 brand strategy and
its 2007 business plan.
“Although this portion of the campaign ends in early May, members
will see more use of this material in future campaigns and communication programs,” said
Philip Mulder, APR, APEGGA’s Manager, Communications.
