Professional Regulatory Organizations continue to draft a Joint Practice Standard for Environmental Site Assessment, Reclamation, and Remediation, discussing the professional and ethical issues associated with completing reclamation and remediation work in Alberta.
APEGGA is joined by biologists, chemists, foresters, forest technologists and agrologists in this project.
Alberta Environment is also holding a series of meetings with Professional
Regulatory Organizations, ASET and Alberta Human Resources and Employment to
discuss specialist sign-off. Specifically, it will be determined who can sign-off reclamation
certificates, on what portions of the work, and what sign-off entails.
Watch The PEGG for further developments in this project.
