APEGGA Coun. Jim Beckett, P.Eng., accepts — and puts on — a jersey in honour of APEGGA’s contribution to University of Alberta’s Discovery E summer camps. During Mr. Beckett’s ta-da moment, Dr. David Lynch, P.Eng., U of A Dean of Engineering, leads a round of applause. The university, sponsors, participants and others celebrated Discover E last month at the U of A. An APEGGA donation covered the entire cost of a one-week camp for Métis youths at the Kikino settlement near Lac La Biche. APEGGA’s sponsorship totalled nearly $5,700 and also paid for the Discover E jerseys.
