The Alberta Mentor Foundation for Youth is recruiting in-school mentors for the 2006 and 2007 school year. The group has a goal to recruit 130 new mentors in Calgary, Airdrie and Cochrane.
“Help change a life for the better and sign up today,” says a release from the foundation. “One hour a week — one life changed.”
The Alberta Mentor Foundation for Youth helps junior and senior high school students achieve their full potential through in-school mentoring relationships. The volunteer commitment is one hour a week throughout the academic year.
The foundation’s mentors are everyday people with a desire to work with
youth. Mentoring is a fun and unique opportunity, says the foundation, and a
great way to make a difference.
