Editor’s Note: The PEGG issued a call for details on recent graduates in the families of members. Following is the list we generated.
Lindsay Anderson, daughter of Duke Anderson, P.Eng., will graduate with a B.Sc. in chemical engineering in 2009. Two other daughters, Nicole and Stacy Anderson, graduated with degrees in engineering in 2006 and 2004 respectively.
Srinivas Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar, P.Eng., graduated from McMaster University with a materials engineering degree.
Samer Chomery and Ziyad Chomery, sons of Aysar Chomery, P.Eng., have graduated with an M.Sc. in computer engineering from University of Alberta and a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from University of Calgary respectively.
Elizabeth DeVries, daughter of Dave Robertson, P.Eng., graduated with a B.Sc. in civil engineering in the spring.
Peter Dmytruk, nephew of Chrysant Dmytruk, P.Eng., graduated from mechanical engineering in 2006 from the University of Alberta. Marta Dmytruk, who is Chrys.’s daughter, graduated in 1997 from the university’s civil engineering program.
Narmeen Haq, daughter of Nasir Sheikh, P.Eng., graduated recently in chemical and environmental engineering from the University of Toronto.
Krysta Mirzayans, sister of Tanya Mirzayans, E.I.T., graduated from computer engineering from the University of Alberta in 2008. She also won the APEGGA medal in computer engineering.
Michael C. Moncur, son of Mark Moncur, P.Eng., graduated with an M.Sc. in aqueous geochemistry (groundwater chemistry) from the University of Waterloo. Michael is a PhD candidate there.
Jawad Rashid, son of Imtiaz Rashid, P.Eng., graduated with a B.Sc. in engineering from the University of Alberta in 2004.
Mandev S. Sidhu, son of Satpal S. Sidhu, P.Eng., graduated from Seattle University in electrical engineering in 2004. Another son, Aman S. Sidhu, will graduate from Washington State University in December 2008 in mechanical engineering.
Alexandra Trovato, daughter of Nick Trovato, P.Eng., has graduated from civil engineering at the University of Alberta.
Ganapathy Viswanathan, son of Viswanathan Ganapahy, P.Eng., graduated with a BASc. in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2008.
