Online Member Survey in November

Some members may receive an e-mail from Ipsos Reid this month inviting them to participate in an online survey on behalf of APEGGA. Ipsos Reid has been hired to assist in conducting research about member attitudes and opinions of the Association’s role as well as some of the issues facing the professions.

The online member survey is part of a larger research project that includes a public survey in November and focus groups with permit holders in January.

Members will receive an e-mail invitation from Ipsos Reid, on behalf of APEGGA, to participate in the online member survey. Details will remain with Ipsos Reid and will only be reported to APEGGA in aggregate.

The research will be reported to Council and staff in February and will be used by Council and staff during the review of the Association’s strategic plan. That plan, in turn, is the basis of staff’s development of the business plan and budgets.

Ongoing communication and consultation with members is identified in the Association’s strategic plan as a priority. (You may view the 2007-2016 strategic plan at www.apegga.org/pdf/strategic/STRATEGICPLAN_2007.pdf)

Conducting formal research with a consultant ensures the availability of unbiased information that will be a useful tool for Council and staff. The last surveys of members, employers and the public were undertaken in 2002.
