HOLDING UP THE BRIDGE
The High Level Bridge, spanning 1.6 kilometres across the Old Man River Valley in Lethbridge, is now 100 years old. Above, left, is Jozef Prozniak, P.Eng., who spoke on the history of the bridge, and the innovation and ahead-of-its-time engineering that went into it. Right, Lethbridge Mayor Bob Tarleck also praises the bridge during a dinner at the Galt Museum. Lethbridge dignitaries joined APEGGA Council, Executive Committee and Lethbridge Branch in celebrating the city’s iconic railway bridge, Sept. 16, in conjunction with the regular Council meeting.
